Will Rose win the coveted Pick Panel Championship again? Waves will have to win to prevent it.

Last week, the Waves hung with Meigs County and nearly pulled off the victory. Penalties really hurt the Waves; including two 15 yard penalties. This week it doesn’t get any easier for the Greenwave (4-4) as they face the Tigers of Rockwood (5-3) at the Emerald Forest. One bright spot last week was the return of senior QB Mason Woody. Mason suffered a broken collar bone earlier in the season and was originally projected to miss the entire regular season. Woody was rumored to be using state-of-the-art equestrian laser treatments along with turkey urine and deer antler velvet to speed his recovery.

It’s been over a month since the Waves last won a game. Having dropped 4 straight, the Waves are playing for pride…..will that be enough this Friday?

Lady & gents…make your pick.

Ralton Emory:
So I’m confused again. Earlier in the year we played the “blue devils” and I asked the question of how can someone make a devil blue…. Now for the second week in a row we are playing a team called the Tigers. How can one tiger team have the colors of orange and black while the other tiger team go green and yellow. Is the green and yellow tiger sick? Does it have ebola? Orange and black seem to be the natural colors of tigers so maybe there is a deformity in the genetics of the green and yellow tiger… I mean it is Rockwood after all. 🙂 Just kidding.

All joking aside, it doesn’t get easier for the Waves this week. They can win this game, but I still don’t see them pulling it out. Waves 14 Rockwood 35

Amber Johnson:
I think the Waves bounce back this week. Midway edging Rockwood.

Kyle Canup:
I hate to see a losing streak go on but I think Friday will be a tough one for the Waves. Glad to see Mason is back and hopefully can have some fun the rest of the season. I think Rockwood gets the W but only 28-23

Steven Sears:
Finally back to SOR after 3 long weeks on the road. Midway has had tough luck over the past 4 weeks finishing on the short end of the stick. Can the Greenwaves end this long losing drought with a big win against county rival Rockwood? It’s pretty simple, the team who makes the fewest mistakes, wins the ballgame. This means quit making stupid penalties, quit turning the ball over, and quit taking crap from our opponents and play some SOR style football.

At this point I would even advise the rest of the team to get some deer antler velvet and some turkey urine because it is crunch time. Show some pride this Friday and bring home the long overdue win. I’m listening to my heart this week and not my brain. I’ve got a feeling that Barry and I will be the only 2 that pick Midway to win this one, but I truly believe they can pull this one off. Good luck Midway and show us all what you guys are made of. Midway 30 Rockwood 28.

Barry Narramore:
Midway took it to Meigs Co. last Friday night, but came up short on the scoreboard. The Greenwaves are still a good team and somebody is gonna get upset in these last 2 games. I predict it will be the mighty Tigers who will fall to the Waves. Not even close. Midway 35 Rockwood 10

Michael Rose:
Ok, here’s my picks…Rockwood and Greenback….go ahead and send the Pick Panel trophy in the mail to me. My streak begins again. The only other winner of the Pick Panel in history was Boomanchu last year.
