Interview with #9, Jumpin Jack Henderson
|
| |
SORSN: With the team opening the season with a win at Wartburg and playing Harriman till the very end, were you as surprised by the outcome last Friday as the fans were? What was the locker room like after the game?
Jack: Not as much surprised as disappointed, we beat ourselves. Well, it was quiet but I think the team is starting to wake up to the fact that we have to do our jobs to win games.
SORSN: An old coaches philosophy is ‘you play like you practice’. How were the practices last week? Were there any indications, based on practices, that things were a little “off”?
Jack: The practices were executed good but the team mesh isn't there yet, and we aren't playing with enough aggression. No, we just need some aggression "Big Hits", in practice.
SORSN: The running game had better success last week than against Harriman. Do you think of this as a sign of things beginning to improve on the ground?
Jack: Yeah, the holes are growing and the running back are improving tremendously. The biggest thing is YAC(Yards after Contact).
SORSN: A loss is just a loss….any great team or player will tell you that you have to move on and focus on the next game. This week is the classic rural public school vs. suburban private school. What’s the attitude of the team when preparing for teams such as the khaki slacks of Grace?
Jack: Well, I’m not going to lie. Grace is probably the most hated team at Midway right now. So I’m hopping that the aggression level will grow.
SORSN: We are 3 weeks into the season and have yet to hear the ‘SOR’ chant from the sidelines or fans. To quote one fence walker, “the only time I hear SOR chanted is right as they run out. Then you can almost hear the crickets after that.” In your opinion, has the lack of enthusiasm from the sidelines and crowd been a factor in the last 2 games? How important is that “12th” man atmosphere? Whose responsibility is it to start the SOR chant and do they need to be reminded of how vital it is?
Jack: It really is very important. I don't know what happened to the Midway stands this year but when you hear them out there yelling it is a huge boost and the sidelines need to get in the game too and get the crowd pumped up.
SORSN: Tell us Jack, do you have any pre-game rituals? Superstitions?
Jack: I pray, write a bible verse on my shoe and get ready to be mean out there.
SORSN: What’s the deal with 'I before E'? And why does ‘C’ get special treatment?
Jack: I’m not really sure about that one, but I guess its just one of those things like why is the sky blue?

Interview with senior DB, Charles Binger
|
| |
SORSN: The offense has been described as more balanced this preseason. Tell us about how you view the offense. How is it now compared to 3 weeks ago? What improvements are still needed?
Charles Binger: We have a great offense. There are a lot of equally talented players not just one go to guy. 3 weeks ago the team wasn't "together" very well. Team mesh and effort.
SORSN: Describe the current state of the defensive secondary. What improvements are still needed?
Charles Binger: We have a good, experienced secondary. We need to communicate better and hit a lot harder than last year.
SORSN: What have been some of the funny and memorable moments of summer workouts and practices?
Charles Binger: Getting to watch all the guys take steaming hot showers naked.
SORSN: Not quite the answer I was expecting……..
SORSN: If you could speak to one type of animal, what would it be and why?
Charles Binger: I would choose a monkey, the leader of the pack because he helps them threw rough times but never gives up no matter what. He will do anything in his power to help his family, his brothers, and the people he cares for. That's why I would choose a monkey.
SORSN: What’s currently the song of choice on the field house radio?
Charles Binger: Right now it is a Miley Cyrus song but hopefully it will change to "friends in low places" by Garth Brooks when we start winning home games.
Thank you for your time CB and good luck on Friday night.

Preseason Interview with Coach C F Moser
|
| |
SORSN: Recap the changes and additions to the staff during the off-season.
Coach Moser: Coach Walker got a job at one of the plants in Oak Ridge and is no longer helping. Coach Steve Stansbury is on active duty with the United States Marine Corp. and is scheduled to go to Afghanistan. We have added Coach Joe Campbell and Coach Jeff Brantley. Coach Campbell is a Math teacher at MHS and a graduate of MHS, Lifelong SOR resident and football and baseball player. Joe will be working with our OL and LB and will be assisting me with Offensive preparation. Jeff Brantley is working with our OL and DL. Jeff is a Kingston graduate but now has his heart right and lives SOR
SORSN: Did Coach Walker leave his tanning bed?
Coach Moser: Coach Walker left the football team and staff many things but his tanning bed wasn't one of them.
SORSN: Give us 3 words that describe the team thus far.
Coach Moser: Uhh - Hmm - Ohh
SORSN: You’ve gained a good reputation for developing players. A perfect example is a kid that came out of the band section to become one of Midway’s biggest scoring threats of all-time. Do you see the makings of a “diamond in the rough” on this year’s squad?
Coach Moser: Yes, I see several kids that have the ability to be break out players. Come watch on Aug. 28 @ Wartburg and see who. Wakon you are a marked man. TIME TO SHINE
SORSN: New quarterback, new running backs…….if you had to play tonight, who would start at these positions?
Coach Moser: QB - Thomas Viar RB - Matt Oliver/Aaron Collins RB - Jack Henderson/Caleb Butler
SORSN: Has the 2009 team set their goals for the season? If so, can you share them with the sorsn.com viewers?
Coach Moser: 1. Coach O'Toole remember that games are on Friday's 2. Coach Campbell not get lost in his game of Hiding GO Seek 3. Coach Gordon not to iron his shorts. 4. Coach Brantley to stay on schedule. 5. To make it through a season with a radio in the Field House.
SORSN: Looking at this year’s schedule with new teams, do you see a potential new ‘rival’ for the Waves?
Coach Moser: Harriman - Grace - Greenback - Rockwood - Tellico
SORSN: Noticeable missing this year is the game against BYE. A favorite among the sorsn pick panel members. Can you tell us why this opponent was dropped from the ’09 season?
Coach Moser: They refused to play us. We are trying to get a scrimmage with OPEN though.
Thanks Coach and good luck to you and the team this season. Go Waves!

Week 8 Interview with Coach Moser
|
| |
Week 8 interview with the Coach, Coach CF Moser, Head Coach Midway High School Greenwave…
SORSN: First off, Coach congratulations on the back to back big victories over the largest constellation in Morgan County, Sunbright and the Blue Ghouls from Harriman. The wins keep Midway right in the middle of the regional playoff hunt. Talk about the wins and what you saw that you liked from this team this past Friday night particularly in the second half of both contests.
Coach Moser: I think we're getting better each week. That’s good, you either get better or you get worse. We are proud of how this team has prepared each week and how they have played with pride and guts. If we continue to practice hard and play tough, I think we can make a run in the playoffs.
SORSN: Coach, you got to rest some injured players against Sunbright, including one of the QBs. Friday night Pressley was pressed back into action and really took some licks. How healthy is this team coming out of this week especially at QB?
Coach Moser: Like all teams in week 9 we have a few bumps and bruises but overall health is about the same.
SORSN: Right now this team stands at 6-2 overall and one loss in the region. The rest of the schedule is much like the SORSN.com owners back yard, full of landmines. Tell us how you get this team to maintain its sense of urgency for the next couple weeks?
Coach Moser: With Greenback coming to town, no problem getting focused. Week 10 is senior night. We need all Midway fans at both games to support our team.
SORSN: Coach have you heard that Oneida is the odds on favorite (in Oneida) to win the Super Bowl this year? Seriously, there has been much talk on many of the high school football message boards by many other teams, but very little said in the last few years by the group SOR. How much attention do the players and the coaches pay to such talk?
Coach Moser: Not much. Everyone has their own opinion.
SORSN: Coach the stretch run is coming up and this region looks as deep with good teams as it has been in years. Talk about the strength of the region and how it compares against others in East Tennessee.
Coach Moser: Our region is very tough. Each week if you aren't ready to play you will loose. Our region matches up with region 1 in the 1st 3 rounds of the playoffs. The top teams in that region are Hampton, Cosby, Grace, and Cloudland. That is also a tough region. You better be ready to play or you’re beat.
SORSN: Coach a big, big game this week with the Cherokee from Greenback. Tell us what you know about the Cherokees going into this week.
Coach Moser: They are 8-0 and a state ranked team. They have an excellent passing attack but are just as capable running the ball. Their D is aggressive and don't give up many points. We will have to play with tremendous effort and pride to win.
SORSN: Coach many of the players your age and older recall Greenback as the long time biggest district rivalry. Do the players realize the history and depth of the Greenback rivalry and the history involved when these two teams play?
Coach Moser: I hope they do.
SORSN: Coach the defensive backfield has shown vast improvement in the past few weeks. It appears that Coach Walker and his troops have been “working like heck” to get better and to not let the struggles of the early continue to linger. What have those guys been working on over there to make such improvements?
Coach Moser: Tempo, Communication, Effort, Want to, Toughness
SORSN: Coach the thunder and lightning attack of R2 and the Raven seem to be hitting their stride at just the right time, especially these last couple of weeks. How much has the return of some offensive linemen meant for the running backs? SORSN.com really likes the bubble screen and the direct Raven snap the last few weeks. Anything special in the works this week? Maybe a Cannon right formation or a hideout pass or two?
Coach Moser: Ray and Poe are good players. The linemen have really worked hard to improve, and they have. They are probably the most improved unit on the field. Getting Neo back was huge. Not only his ability but his leadership and work ethic show our other linemen how to prepare in practice. If they keep it up, we can have a really good team before this thing is over. Special Plays? Come Friday Night and see!
SORSN: Ok Coach we are going to finish up with a little SOR trivia today. Some of these you may have to explain to your current players but that’s ok too as one of SORSN.com’s mission statements is to be the unofficial history keeper of all things SOR. Can you tell us the first person or thing that pops into your head when you hear or think of the following:
Captain - Captain Calvin (not Kangaroo) Buster the Mule - Ask Mr. Curtis and Ferdinand Lane The Pit - The place where banners were hung. Slick court advantage! Burma Road - I still have nightmares. Joe Levy could really bring the wood at the end of the line. Satterfield - M I G H T Y C H E R O K E E S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dog Biscuit - James Lowe ... dunt...dunt...dunt...du...dunt The Claw - Fear the Claw Vonore football field - Home field advantage. 8th graders get to play tonight. The funky chicken - My favorite cheer! I can still see Mary Alice Griffin - woop! woop! So forth and whatnot - Norma Jean not my love. Bobby Biscuit - No comment. But what about: Granny Grisby, Beagle, Stan Letner HEE HAW, Tater Bug, Sniper needs a diaper, Theda Thuds, JP vs Polk, HATEFULL ....
Coach thanks for the time and go get’em this weekend.

Interview with Jacob 'Neo' Franklin
|
| |
SORSN: This summer, you were involved in something that, at the very least, changes ones outlook on life. Jacob, will you describe for us what happened, the injuries that you suffered, and what all has been involved with the recovery?
Jacob: Well I don't remember much of what happened just losing control of the truck, then seeing Coach O'Toole standing over me. I was blacking out most of the time. I fracture two vertebras in my back, separated my shoulder which required surgery, and fractured a rib and toe. My right ear got part way tore off and my head had to get staples.
Recovery mostly consisted of rest along with some physical therapy.
SORSN: Coming off an outstanding 2007 season, you were in the weight room hard this summer and were looking for an even better 2008 season. Obviously, the disappointment set in after realizing you would miss most of the season. However, you’ve battled back and returned to the grid iron last week against Oneida. Describe the feeling when you took the field for the first time this season.
Jacob: It was about the same as it has always been on the bus ride up there and the same through warm ups. But at kick off, I started getting a little excited and nervous…and by the time I was going to go in the game, my heart was pounding.
SORSN: When I spoke to you earlier in the season, you had already targeted the Oneida game as the game in which you needed to be back for. Amazingly, you accomplished that goal. Now, what goals do you set for yourself for the remainder of the season?
Jacob: I want to get stronger; I won’t be able to get back to what I was last year but close. Also I’ve set a goal of at least 5 sacks and just play as hard as I can.
SORSN: Experts suggest it only takes 2 weeks for one to lose any and all muscle tone that one has if you are unable to use that muscle. Tell us about the weight and strength loss that you witnessed first hand due to the accident.
Jacob: I lost about 20 lbs after the wreck but I’ve gained 10 of it back. I noticed how much weaker I am during the game when I had trouble wrestling down the full back on one play. I used to be able to take’m down a lot easier.
SORSN: Has “Coach” Cupcake offered you any of his personal weight training services?
Jacob: No he hasn't…I guess he don’t care for me much cause I’m so much taller than him but Dayne Britt has told me that he would workout with me.
SORSN: Speaking of Cupcake, he is often heard referring to his “guns”. We didn’t realize he was such an avid gun enthusiast. Does he work at Frontier Firearms on Gallaher Road?
Jacob: No. He applied but they told him that to work there you had to be taller than the guns themselves.
Disclaimer: for those who have never seen the movie Napoleon Dynamite (which inspired Jacob’s nickname of ‘Neo’) the next several questions may leave you puzzled.
SORSN: And finally, Neo, answer the following:
Just how good are you with a bow staff? Jacob: Not very good but my soap in a sock, yo yo hand to hand combat is pretty sweet. All the gangs in school want me to join them.
Favorite brand of chapstick? Jacob: Burt's beeswax of course, none other like it
Good choice…especially when your lips hurt real bad. Next question, have you ever hunted wolverines? Jacob: Yeah me and the boys go up to Michigan about twice a month
How cool are Ligers? Jacob: Probably the coolest hybrid animal on earth. The only thing that comes close is a chinchilla. It’s the offspring of a chipmunk and Gorilla.
Who do you recommend we vote for? Jacob: The time is now or Nader. Don't be a hater vote for Nader - Ralph Nader Um…did you not notice the theme to all the questions??? We were actually looking for ‘Pedro’ but we’ll accept you endorsement of Nader.
Thank you for taking the time to do the interview with us. We’re inspired by your work ethic and the way you’ve battled back from such a devastating injury. Good luck the remainder of the year and against the Sunbright Tigers this Friday night, where we expect you to start toward your goal of 5 sacks.

Interview with Coach O'Toole
|
| |
SORSN: Coach, this week the Waves travel Highway 27 again for a region game, this time to Sunbright. Given Midway has 2 extremely tough region games remaining and Sunbright has 3 region games remaining, two of which they could easily win, how important is this Friday nights game against the Tigers? Can you explain the playoff implications that this game may have?
Coach O’Toole: Sunbright may be the most important game of the year on account of the many different questions to be answered. Do the Greenwaves have the fortitude to bounce back after a big loss: that’s the first question. Next is the playoffs; a win will all most guarantee a spot in the playoffs for us but a loss for us would be devastating.
If Sunbright gets the win over us, and win against Coalfield and Oakdale, then they would be given the playoff spot. Also on account of the many tiebreakers, some other team could receive the playoff spot with a loss from us. We need to have a good week of practice and go play Midway football.
SORSN: The Waves seem to improve week after week. And though the loss to Oneida was a hard one, your defense gave the team a chance to win the game down the stretch. What are some key areas of the defense that you will be working on this week to prepare for a stretch of tough region games?
Coach O’Toole: We need to focus on the 3 T's... Tackling, Turnovers and Third Down. Except yesterday, Coach Steve thought the 3 T's were Time To Talk.
SORSN: Last Friday night we witnessed Jacob Franklin take the field for the first time this season. Can you highlight for us the effort and what this young man has faced to return to action?
Coach O’Toole: Jacob getting to play Friday night is hands down the best moment I have ever had coaching. He has overcome so much and never once complained, just asked what he needs to do. His heart is as big as SOR itself!
SORSN: Coach, you haven’t supplied us with your ‘Around the Region’ write-ups for several weeks. What gives?
Coach O’Toole: Devastated after the game with Bye (I have no idea what happened). I have focused all my energy on trying to expose them on the cheaters they are. I just haven’t had time for the articles on account of the driving time it takes to try and find them play.
SORSN: With election season drawing near, the country has a lot of big questions needing answered. We at sorsn.com are no different. Though it may not be as important as the US economy, it has bothered us just the same. A certain member of you coaching staff, known to the world only as ‘Cupcake’, stood along the sidelines last Friday night at Oneida where the temperature was in the mid-40s, dressed in shorts and a sleeveless shirt. Coach, how cold must it get before Cupcake wears a shirt with sleeves? Must the “gun show” remain open 24/7?
Coach O’Toole: To be honest it better get cold fast. Last week my wife came home and said Cupcake got arrested at Cato's Women’s Clothing store for arguing the price of some new baby doll T's they got in last week.
Thank you Coach O’Toole and good luck to you and the team Friday night

Interview with Wakon Roberson
|
| |
SORSN Interview with junior wide receiver, #5, Wakon Roberson.
SORSN: You had a big game last Friday against Coalfield, hauling in a pair of catches for 60 yards and a touch down. What made you successful against the Coalfield secondary?
Wakon: Mainly Coach Mo. He saw where I could beat them and tagged both of those routes in. I also was a head taller than the corner.
SORSN: What has practice been like this week as you all prepare to face an unbeaten Sequatchie County team?
Wakon: Very up tempo except that Nick Googin & Coach Steve have been on a “chop chop chop” rampage.
SORSN: What is the reasoning behind the white, Michael Jackson glove that you wear on your right hand?
Wakon: Me & Michael go way back…we used to hang at the ol’ Neverland Ranch.
SORSN: What is the current skunk population on Cade Road? Is anything being done to reduce their numbers?
Wakon: Slightly increasing since Tanner’s departure. Not since the Tanner Skunk Massacre of 2006.
SORSN: Have you ever seen a Chevy with them butterfly doors? Is stuntin’ really a habit? Who is stuntin’ (stuntin’) the most on the team?
Wakon: Neo’s VW Bug had butterfly doors and it flew away so he has no transportation now. Stuntin’…one word…deadly, and I try to avoid at all cost. Are biggest stunter is Ray because to quote him, “he is fresher than the Kroger deli”

Interview with Coach Moser
|
| |
SORSN: This Friday you travel I-75 south to visit 2A Sequatchie County. Last year, the Waves cruised to a 48-3 victory over the then, 1-4 Indians. This year the tribe is 5-0 and has produced a lot of buzz in their area. What is different about this Sequatchie County team compared to last year’s team?
Coach Moser: We thought they had alot of talent last year. They again have good players and they are confident and playing well together. It will take a great effort on our part to get a victory.
SORSN: What does the Green Waves have to do to be successful again this year against Sequatchie County?
Coach Moser: Effort, discipline, execution, turn-overs, penalties, fight 4 quarters
SORSN: General Neyland is famous for the seven maxims of Football at UT. What do you use to focus your team before a game?
Coach Moser: We watch the Smurfs and eat popcorn. Coach Gordon eats chili, Coach O'Toole pukes with Googin, Coach Walker lays in the tanning bed, Coach Steve listens to Katie Perry, and Coach Goldston smiles. It might be the Green Kool-Aid.
SORSN: SORSN was unable to get any game coverage from the week 4 game against BYE. How is the BYE team able to enforce such a large media black out?
Coach Moser: If sorsn isn't able to get info then no media outlet can.
SORSN: Coach after watching the game last week it seems as if the toughest competition of the night may have been found at the dance after the game. Any injury reports from the after game festivities?
Coach Moser: I don't know of any, however, we did find out former player Joe Campbell plays a mean game of hiding-go-seek. Last year we thought Coach Hayes was going to start a new tradition, but for the 2nd year in a row, no new traditions.
SORSN: Sources say that a SORSN staff member, who asked not to be identified, is famous for a dance known simply as “The Worm”. Could you give us a scouting report on the dance moves of the current coaching staff?
Coach Moser: Steve dances to the Urban Beat. Gordon and Walker do "The Chicken Dance". O'Toole is just trying to get someone to dance with him.
Thank you Coach Moser and good luck to you and the men on Friday night.

Interview with Ray Robinson
|
| |
SORSN: During one of our trips through the internet, the staff of SORSN found a message board post on a high school sports site that suggest you “can’t take a hit.” Did you see the post and would you like to respond?
Ray: That is true. I don't like to get hit. Sometimes I just fall down on purpose to avoid being tackled. It’s soo much easier.
SORSN: What up with the new hairdo? Was it cut to gain more of an aerodynamic advantage?
Ray: It’s really just for the ladies. Now that I have short hair they can see my pretty brown eyes.
SORSN: Friday’s loss against Rockwood had to be frustrating for you and the whole team. Is Oakdale going to be on the receiving end of all that bottled up frustration and anger?
Ray: That is positively correct Shawny Shawn. We intend to do the same thing that we did to them last year.
SORSN: Did you do anything different this week preparing for Oakdale than you did last week preparing for Rockwood?
Ray: Not Really. We just know that a former Greenwave player is coaching for them now and we really want to spank the eagles to remind him where he's from. But it’s all in good fun.
SORSN: It’s been rumored that the Green Wave locker room is in need of a new radio? What happened to the previous one?
Ray: Well, what actually happened was, Coach Mo was drinking one of his pineapple margaritas in the field house like he always does on Wednesday, when T-Stock took off his shirt, and Coach saw this and got a little spooked and spilled his manly drink on our sound system. Now we all have to bring in walkmans if we want listen to our Kenny Chesney Albums

Week 2 Interview with Coach O'Toole
|
| |
SORSN: What goals did the coaches set for the team this week?
Coach O’Toole: Win.
SORSN: What have you learned about your team in the past two games?
Coach O’Toole: I think that question will be answered Friday night. Oakdale is much improved from years past and have very dangerous backs. Do we have the character to bounce back from a loss, To be disciplined, to do our job? We'll see!!
SORSN: What can you tell us about the Oakdale offense?
Coach O’Toole: They look like a basketball team out there. They are tall and quick. We need to stay low get our hands in the passing lanes and step drag!!
SORSN: Did you attend any camps/seminars in preparation for your promotion to Defensive coordinator? What about increasing the amount of time playing Madden?
Coach O’Toole: Yeah I went to a couple meetings in the past 2 years at the clinics we've been too. You may laugh about the Madden but it works, that’s where Walker gets all his ideas from.
SORSN: Coach Glen ‘The Claw’ Wheaton was spotted atop the press box in the home opener. Now that you’re the Def. Coordinator is he the Yoda to your Luke, the Mr. Miyagi to your Daniel-san?
Coach O’Toole: Yes Coach Wheaton is the Master of Defense. It’s funny, no matter how much older and bigger you get since high school you still fear the claw.
SORSN: What advise has the ‘old ball coach’ given you?
Coach O’Toole: He told me against Claiborne "the tackles head up they should align" and "weak side the ball is run to"
SORSN: Since you were a two sport athlete at MHS have you ever thought of bringing some of the lessons you learned in basketball over to the football field? Possibly installing the “ball-you-man” coverage for your corners or “step-drag” drills for the linebackers?
Coach O’Toole: Yes the ball-you-man concept is the new fad. When I heard it at the UT coaching clinic, I nearly fell to the floor...
SORSN: Do you know the current COR(Cousin of Ralph) to Non-COR ratio in SOR?
Coach O’Toole: No but I’m sure its high…he's related to everyone

Week 1 Interview with Coach Moser
|
| |
Week 1 interview with the Coach, Coach CF Moser, Head Coach Midway High School Greenwave…
SORSN: First off, Coach congratulations on the big victory over Claiborne County in the opener. It looked like the Green Team was well prepared to play Friday night. Tell us what it was like in the locker room before you took the field Friday night.
Coach Moser: I thought the players were focused. We knew playing a 3A school that we would have to play with tremendous energy and tempo. The same will be for this Friday night, even more.
SORSN: Coach 9 long offseason months have passed since you last played a game. As a Coach, are you relieved when the season finally rolls back around?
Coach Moser: Yeah, the build up to the season is stressful. We are now back doing what we love.
SORSN: With injuries and graduation, the quarterback position was a question mark going into the opener. Both quarterbacks played well Friday. Talk about what each brings to the table and your opinion on the quarterback play this past week.
Coach Moser: QB is one of 11 positions on the field. Each player has a job to do. We will play players at alot of different positions to try and maximize their abilities. I like what all 5 QB's give to our team.
SORSN: OLAY!
SORSN: The running backs looked good, very good in the opener. Tell us about the offseason work that Ray and Poe have put in to make themselves stronger and faster this year.
Coach Moser: Both had good off seasons. Ray and Poe both gained muscle weight and speed.
SORSN: Some early season injuries have taken a toll already on the Waves. How healthy is this team and do you look to get some of your injured players back soon?
Coach Moser: Injuries happen. We all train and prepare the same way. Once the jitters get out of the way and players see the game tempo that they need to play and practice with, we have a good unit.
SORSN: OLAY!
SORSN: Coach, the kicking game has to be a bit of a concern right now, what do you do when the season starts to improve in that portion of the game?
Coach Moser: Focus, practice tempo
SORSN: Coach as you know the flash from the high powered SORSN.com cam can turn the blackest of nights into day. However the new do that Coach Reynolds, er Walker is sporting gives a terrible reflection to the camera. Any chance that we could make hats mandatory gear for all of the sideline coaches.
Coach Moser: Coach Walker not wearing a hat is a strategy that we use. Coach Gordon in the box has a spotlight, he shines it off of Walkers head making it hard for the opposing kick returners to see the ball.
SORSN: Coach the community and all of SOR seem to really be enjoying the pregame tailgating. Ever slip down into the hordes of SOR fans for a pregame snack? SORSN.com highly recommends the shrimp.
Coach Moser: I might just hang out up there for the entire game next week. The players probably wouldn't even notice I was gone. I'll put Steve over sideline management. Chop,Chop,Chop,Chop,Chop........ SORSN: Coach a former SOR legend, Coach Glen “The Claw” Wheaton was spotted in the sky box Friday night. Please tell us your favorite Coach Wheaton story.
Coach Moser: I have a lot. One is when he got "shot" on the sideline in 1988 at Kingston. Story later. But.... the next week at Greenback he was on crutches and threw them on the field after a bad call.
SORSN: Coach the schedule turns difficult quickly this week with a trip to Rockwood on tap. Tell us a bit about what you know about this Rockwood team and your preparation this week. The players do remember an early season visit from the Tigers last year correct?
Coach Moser: Rockwood is Rockwood. Fundamentally sound. Well coached. Well Conditioned. Flawless execution. Physical. Its going to be a real test. We are going to have to play with great energy and discipline.
Coach thanks for answering our questions and good luck on Friday night against Rockwood.
