Midway loses season opener

Midway took a beating with a 33-8 loss to the Rockwood Tigers .

The Greenwaves looked as if they brought their “Dr. Jeckel & Mr. Hyde” team. The Waves were up 8-2 before giving up a late 2nd quarter TD which made the score 9-8 at the half. However, the Tigers would come out of the jungle with their ears pinned back and put up 24 2nd half points.

The Waves already had their hands full going into the game with their starting QB and RB out with injuries.

However, seen here before the game, Coach Moser could have never imagined things to get worse. As QB Jeremy Woody scrambled for an 8 yard gain, he took a hit to his knee which would sideline him the rest of the game. It’s unclear to the extent of Woody’s injury.

Down to their 3rd QB, Daniel Bredwell who typically plays RB, the Waves struggled to move the chains.

There were bright spots for the Waves. One being breaking a 3 year scoreless drought against the Tigers. The Waves looked real good the 1st half…when we can get some guys healthy, the green team will be chaulking up many W’s.
