Three things can happen when you pass the ball, two of which are bad. Greenback’s 400+ yards passing was matched by Midway’s 400+ yards rushing. Kudos to the Midway coaches and players for making the needed adjustments at half-time which helped the Waves to pull away in the 2nd half for a 67-38 victory to improve to 8-1 on the season and a perfect 6-0 in the Region.
Mid-way through the opening quarter, you could cut the hatred with a knife. The Greenback fans were loud and supportive as their team was laying the foundation for an upset with a 16-6 lead.
Greenback, as they did all night, opted to never kick the ball beyond 15 yards after each score..settling for attempts at an on-side recovery which, thankfully, were never successful.
Down 16-6, the Waves would again start a drive at mid-field. On the first play from scrimmage, the Raven
