SORSN Pick Panel: Week 3 Predictions

Rolling out of Red Boiling Springs with a win last Friday, the Waves will look to keep the momentum as they head to Rockwood on Friday for a county rival showdown.  The Rockwood Tigers are 0-2 on the year with losses to Oneida (14-28) and Monterey (0-21).  Will the Tigers remain winless?  Will certain pick panel members go against the Waves again this week?   Let’s ask the panel –

Tyson Canup (1-1): Roll on Waves! Nice work last week. The Rockwood tigers have proven to be tame this far but I look for a fight as conference play begins. Rockwood may flex their muscles in the first half but the power of the Greenwave will be too much for the Tigers to handle. Midway improves this week to 2-1. Score 25-24

Chris Barry (1-1): The Mighty Greenwave stood tall and tough against Red Boiling Springs!! In my 4 years of playing ball for Midway, this in county rival game was a must win no matter the sport but especially football. A win grants Bragging rights for the whole school year. It seems Rockwood can’t get it together so far this season and I don’t see them starting against our Waves. Im taking the The Mighty Greenwaves in this one, O’toole is gonna ride the Wave all the way back to SOR after drowning the tigers 35-14. O’toole will be on PETA’s watch list after this beat down! Go Big Green. SOR FDY!!

Travis Jackson (0-2): Obviously my plan worked and made the big green play with a heart of a champion and take down the high scoring Bulldogs of Red Boiling Springs. But this week county rival from across Watts bar lake Rockwood host the big green. Rockwood has been a stable on Midways schedule for many years and we have seen some very lopsided scores to nail biters. This week will I use reverse psychology? Or will I go with my green blood and pick the big green?  I see a tough hard fought battle with the team with the best shade of green coming out on top. 20-16 Greenwave victorious.

Jason Lloyd (0-2): After a big win last week, the Waves hit the road again to play the Tigers from the city which shall not be named. Historically, this intercounty matchup hasn’t been kind to the Waves. I see the Waves coming up short and losing to that other team in green, 21-20 and falling to 1-2 on the season.

Ethan Crabtree (0-2): I was really impressed with Midway’s grit last week to get a good win! I think that the Waves may come out and have a tough time, but after a good attitude adjustment at half time, I think the Waves will pull out the win 35-28!

Barry Boo Narramore (1-1):  I’m riding the Wave! Midway takes it to Rockwood 28-14. Big question is will Cupcake Pressley, who is a citizen of Rockwood now, show up in Tiger Green??
