Post Game Interviews

Caleb Clark (LB/OL):
SORSN: You had an awesome defensive game Friday night. At some point during the game did you begin to get the feeling like it could be a big night for you?

Caleb: At first I thought it was going to be an awful game. I come out on the field nervous and sick to my stomach, but after the first sack I loosened up and enjoyed the rest of the night.

SORSN: You’re carrying on a long tradition of the nickname “Bubba” for your family. Your uncles, “Bubba” Lowe and the younger “Bubba” Lowe are some big supporters of yours. This being your final year playing for the Green and White, would you like to say something to your family, your biggest fans?

Caleb: Yea, first when you say Caleb sometimes I don’t know who you’re talking about. Name is either “BUB or BUBBA”. I’m sorry for them because they didn’t look as good as me out on the field.

SORSN: The newspapers listed you with 3 sacks, I counted 4. How many did you have?

Caleb: I truthfully don’t remember. Between plays I was just trying to catch my breath and follow through assignments at the snap of the ball.

SORSN: You helped your defense to shut out Greenback and Coalfield, supposedly the two best teams in your district. I’ve heard many coaches from other schools comment that this year’s squad is the hardest hitting team that they have played against in many, many years. What have you done personally to become such a solid defensive player? What has the team done?

Caleb: Worked out for 4 years even during the summer. Almost the whole senior class is truly dedicated to the game and we hardly ever miss a practice.

SORSN: It’s rumored that SORSN.com is the greatest invention since the wheel. What are your thoughts on SORSN?

Caleb: It is great. It’s a good system that lets everyone know how Midway’s doing good or bad.

Jude O’Toole (QB/RB/DE):
SORSN: The Waves rolled all over Coalfield for 4 straight quarters. At some point, could you sense that they’d had enough and were just ready for the game to end?

Jude: After the personal foul and they had the ball at the 36 and then 4 plays later it was 4th and 30.

SORSN: We saw you line up on defense. What are your thoughts on playing on both sides of the ball?

Jude: Man, I love it you can just hit people on D instead of thinking so much.

SORSN: With your 7th straight win, do you think Midway is beginning to turn some heads and get some over-due recognition?

Jude: You never know, but I would say we are turning a couple.

SORSN: During your 4 years playing for the Waves, you’ve had some very good seasons. What is your opinion of a successful season?

Jude: REGION CHAMPIONS!!

SORSN: If you had to pick between Marge Simpson, from “The Simpson’s”, and Peggy Hill, from “King of the Hill”, for your Senior Prom date, who would you chose and why?

Jude: Marge. I love that blue hair.

Blake Bray (RB/DE):
SORSN: Another 100 yard game for you on Friday night. Do you set goals for yourself for each game?

Blake: Yes, I try to play the best game every time I get on the field. I also
try to get at least a 100 yards a game.

SORSN: Friday night’s game against Coalfield was the coldest game of the year. How hard was it to handle the ball?

Blake: Not hard at all, because I was all fired up and ready to play.

SORSN: Your arm appeared to be heavily bandaged and taped during the game. What’s up with the injury?

Blake: I just bruised it real bad, but I will be back and ready for Oakdale.

SORSN: Friday’s game was the last home game for the seniors. How difficult is it knowing that you won’t be playing with those guys next year?

Blake: It’s going to be hard, because I will miss that great line and the other players, I’ll miss Jude and Jason a lot.

SORSN: You’re not much for celebrating after a touch down. Bryan Noland has the “Samoan Stomp” after a sack. Myers has his “Oh no! Not in my house” head shake and finger wave after a tackle or interception. Woody typically does the low-flying airplane flyby after he lays the lumber to someone. Have you thought about a post-TD dance? Perhaps the “Blake Bray Bounce Wit Me” or the “Blake Bray Breakdance”?

Blake: If I had to pick one it would probably be “Blake Bray Bounce wit me”.
